Ingredients
Scale
Brioche Rolls
- 12 brioche rolls (store-bought or homemade)
Honey Sage Butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh sage (or 1 teaspoon dried sage)
- 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt (plus more for garnish)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the brioche rolls in a baking dish or on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring they have enough space for even heating.
- Prepare Honey Sage Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, finely chopped sage, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Warm Butter Mixture: Heat the butter mixture gently in the microwave for 10–15 seconds to make it easier to brush or spread evenly over the rolls.
- Brush Rolls: Generously brush the tops and sides of each brioche roll with the honey sage butter mixture, reserving a small amount for after baking.
- Bake Rolls: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 8–10 minutes, or until they are warmed through and lightly golden on top.
- Final Butter Brush & Garnish: Remove the rolls from the oven and immediately brush with the remaining honey sage butter. Sprinkle extra flaky sea salt over the tops if desired for a finishing touch. Serve the rolls warm.
Notes
- The honey sage butter can be prepared ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- For an enhanced aroma, sauté the sage in butter for 1–2 minutes before mixing in honey.
- These rolls are ideal for holiday meals, brunches, or any cozy gathering.
