Description

A refreshing and easy-to-make frozen cocktail, this Easy Peach Wine Slushie combines frozen peaches, white wine, and basil-infused simple syrup to create a deliciously smooth and fruity beverage perfect for warm weather gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Slushie Ingredients

  • 6 cups frozen peeled peaches
  • 1 bottle (750ml) white wine
  • ¼ to ½ cup basil-infused simple syrup

Basil-Infused Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Make Basil-Infused Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup water and 1 cup granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar completely dissolves. Remove from heat, add fresh basil leaves, and steep for 30 minutes. Strain out basil leaves and let syrup cool.
  2. Blend Ingredients: In the jar of a blender, add 6 cups frozen peeled peaches, 750ml bottle of white wine, and ¼ cup of the cooled basil-infused simple syrup. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and slushy in texture.
  3. Taste and Adjust Sweetness: Taste the slushie mixture. If desired, add more simple syrup (up to ½ cup total) and blend briefly again to incorporate.
  4. Serve: Pour the peach wine slushie into frosty glasses immediately to enjoy at its best chilled consistency.

Notes

  • Use dry white wine varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio for best flavor balance.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of simple syrup to your preference.
  • For an adult-only treat, avoid diluting with water to maintain wine flavor intensity.
  • Can be made ahead by preparing the basil simple syrup in advance; store chilled.
  • Replace basil with mint for a different aromatic twist.
